Administrative History

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, best known for his Sherlock Holmes
stories, became involved in the occult and Spiritualism.
After 1918 he and his family traveled abroad especially to
Australia and America on psychic lecture tours. The postcard
in this collection is from that period. The family enjoyed
Canada as well and spent time there. Perhaps that is the
reason the postcard is addressed to Oglethorpe University,
Ga., Canada instead of USA.
