Administrative History

Stanley M. Daugert taught at Oglethorpe University from
1947-1962. In 1962 he left to become head of the philosophy
department of Western Washington State College. Daugert was
born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He received 3 degrees
including his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He served in
World War II and taught at Georgia State and Emory before
coming to Oglethorpe in 1947.
