Administrative History
Stanley M. Daugert taught at Oglethorpe University from 1947-1962. In 1962 he
left to become head of the philosophy department of Western Washington State
College. Daugert was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He received 3 degrees
including his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He served in World War II and
taught at Georgia State and Emory before coming to Oglethorpe in 1947.
Description
The collection contains one typed, 137 leaf, copy of the paper entitled
“Oglethorpe and the Problem of Moral Education: A Study and Report Addressed to
the Oglethorpe Faculty” by Stanley M. Daugert, Professor in the Division of
Human Understanding, Oglethorpe University, April 1, 1952.
