Eli Arnold

A 2006 Oglethorpe grad, I joined the Philip Weltner Library as a Reference Librarian in 2014 after working at the Sturgis Library of Kennesaw State University for two years. Before that, I served the Oglethorpe Office of Admission for six years.

Originally from Franklin, Tennessee, I transferred to Oglethorpe after attending St. John’s College, Annapolis, for a year. At Oglethorpe, I designed my own major in archaeology though our Individually Planned Major (IPM) program. In addition to participating in two short-term study abroad trips to Italy and Greece, I spent a semester abroad at Corpus Christi College in Oxford, England, studying Paleolithic and Biblical archaeology. I tried to take advantage of all of the opportunities I could while a student!

In 2012, I completed my Master of Library and Information Science degree and am excited to be back at Oglethorpe assisting students with research and spreading the word on our great resources. There’s a lot of bad information out there; I’m excited to help students evaluate and use the information successfully!

When not helping students, I enjoy reading up on Oglethorpe history, watching classic cinema with my partner John, and playing with our dog Madi.
