Description

The collection contains papers relating to the genealogical research of Robert C. Watkins.  Watkins is the grandson of Edgar Watkins, first chairman of the Board of Trustees of Oglethorpe University (1917). The papers include printed information, notes, copies of census records and local genealogical newsletters from Georgia and Tennessee.   Watkins contributed a large collection of geological books to the library that focus on Georgia and the southeast.
