Administrative History

Roy Goslin kept a ledger recording the budget and spending by the Science Division (Division III) from 1965-1967. He was a professor at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) from 1930-1944. He went on to teach at Oglethorpe University from 1948-1976, and was one of the scientists involved in the Manhattan Project. The science building at Oglethorpe University is named in his honor.

Description

The collection contains Roy Goslin’s ledger, in which he noted the purchases made by Oglethorpe University’s science department, separated by class (biology, chemistry, physics, and math). He also recorded the money allocated by grants or outside funding.
