This collection consists of five handwritten notebooks from 1851-1852, and one undated, by William Elliott Baker (1830-1906) containing religious lecture notes and sermons. Baker was a Presbyterian minister who attended Columbia Theological Seminary then Princeton Theological Seminary, graduating from the latter in 1850. In 1856, he married Catherine Evelyn King (1836-1923), member of the King Family of Roswell, Georgia. He and his family lived in the historic Barrington Hall in Roswell, Georgia.
